What Is A Heavy-duty Distribution Transformer

The continuous load of transformer overload occurs between 80% of transformer capacity and full load. The term 'heavy-duty' commonly used in the electrical industry is actually the abbreviation for heavy-duty connectors, also known as heavy-duty sockets. It is widely used in equipment that requires electrical and signal connections, such as construction machinery, textile machinery, packaging and printing machinery, tobacco machinery, electric locomotives, and petrochemical electrical equipment. The international progressiveness of heavy-duty connectors in structural design and material use makes them outstanding in electrical performance. The reliability of electrical connection systems cannot be achieved by traditional connection methods. The Satons transformer mainly applies the principle of electromagnetic induction to work. Specifically, when an AC voltage U1 is applied to the primary side of the transformer and the current flowing through the primary winding is I1, this current will generate alternating magnetic flux in the iron core, causing electromagnetic contact between the primary and secondary windings. According to the principle of electromagnetic induction, alternating magnetic flux passing through these two windings will induce electromotive force. Its size is proportional to the number of winding turns and the maximum value of the main magnetic flux. The voltage on the side with more winding turns is high, while the voltage on the side with less winding turns is low. When the secondary side of the transformer is open, that is, when the transformer is unloaded, the voltage at the primary and secondary terminals is proportional to the number of turns in the primary and secondary windings, that is, U1/U2=N1/N2, but the primary and secondary frequencies remain consistent, thus achieving voltage changes.
